- Natural gas customers in New Jersey can choose a supplier other than their utility. While not required, you do have the option to do so.
- By choosing an alternative fuel provider, bills may or may not be lower in cost for natural gas charges and applicable taxes.
- However, the resulting decrease in SJG's revenues are offset by a corresponding decrease in natural gas costs and taxes under a BPU-approved adjustment clause. While customer participation in the program reduces SJG's revenues, it does not affect its net income, financial condition or profit margins.
- We encourage you to explore savings possibilities offered by deregulation but urge you to use caution when selecting a marketer since their savings offers, contracts, terms and conditions may vary significantly. Carefully consider all details before entering into any agreement or signing any contract.
